What is a full moon rise?

A full moon rise happens when the sun,
earth and moon are in a
line (in that order).
This means the moon faces the
earth and the sun so it is
fully illuminated.
You can usually see the full moon rising at around
6pm. It reaches it peak at midnight and sets around
6am.

What is a new moon?
A new moon happens when the
sun,
moon and earth are in a
line (in that order). This means
the moon faces the sun, while the other side faces the Earth,
completely black.
Just like the sun, a new moon usually rises around
6am, is overhead at midday
and sets around 6pm.

What is
the dark side of the moon?
The
moon's rotation is 'locked in' with the earth. This means we always see the
same 'face'
of the moon. We've been able to see the 'dark side'
thanks to space probes.
How long is a
lunar cycle?
It takes 29 days for the moon to orbit the earth (a full lunar cycle). As it
path is easily observed, traditional calendars were based on lunar cycles.

What is a lunar fertility chart?
A lunar fertility chart is based on your lunar phase return.
The lunar phase return is
when the
moon's angle with the sun returns to the same angle it was at your birth.
By finding out when
this occurs, your lunar fertility can be charted
and
used to determine fertility cycles.
