Earth is the only planet whose English name does not derive from Greek/Roman
mythology. The name derives from Old English and Germanic.
The Earth is part of all of us no
matter what our star sign and we each play an important
role in her survival. By connecting with the earth and treating
her with respect we will in turn be nourished, protected and taught
valuable life lessons.
The Earth provides us with life, energy,
crystals,
astrology,
the
solstices and
equinoxes. Deity:

The Saturn Return
Every 29 years Saturn returns to the
same zodiacal degree as it
was placed in your birth chart. This signifies a
time of transition, from one life-phase to the next. When
this happens you are said to experience your Saturn Return.
This happens at around age:
-
28-30 (from youth to
maturity)
-
57-59
(from maturity to wisdom)
-
86-88 (either a transition to the next world or
back to a second childhood!)

pull altered the path of Uranus.

Pluto (Roman) and

Time in each star sign:
Pluto's orbit is highly elliptical. This means every 228 years, Pluto is closer to the Sun than Neptune for a period of 20 years.
From 1979 to March 1999, Neptune was the farthest planet from the Sun.
Information
Pluto was first discovered by the Lowell Observatory in 1930 and was formerly called Pluto-Lowell.
It is located
in the heart of the Kuiper belt and
until recently was the outermost known
planet in our system (see 2003 UB313).
Pluto has one confirmed moon, Charon
(discovered in 1978) and possibly two more tiny moons.

2003 UB313 (a temporary
name) is the largest object found in orbit around the sun since the
discovery of Neptune and its moon Triton in 1846.
It is located in the Kuiper
belt, a swarm of icy bodies beyond Neptune in orbit around the sun
and is larger than Pluto.
It is more than 3
times further away than Pluto
at almost 10 billion miles from the sun. It
is the most distant object ever seen in orbit around
the sun (including Sedna, the planetoid discovered almost 2
years ago).
It has a extremely
elliptical obit, taking over twice as long to orbit the sun as
Pluto.
The three images were taken 1.5 hrs
apart on the night of 21 October 2003. The
planet moves very slowly across the sky over the
course of 3 hours

Deity:
Chiron
(Greek)
Time in each sign
Chiron travels between Saturn and Uranus in a highly elliptical
51-year orbit. At times it is closer to the Sun than Saturn
(at perihelion) and
other times further out than Uranus
(at aphelion).
This means it moves swiftly through some
signs, such as Libra, but very slowly through others, such as Aries. The
first of many such minor planetoids to be discovered, Chiron still
remains the largest and most significant of these in terms of human destiny.
Information
Chiron was first discovered by Charles Kowal
in 1977, however earlier views on photographic plates,
date back to the 1895 perihelion.
It
is unusual because
while it is a comet-like planetoid,
it is >50,000 times the characteristic volume of a
comet. This is a size more commensurate with a large asteroid, which it was
initially assumed to be.
Chiron is a knowledge holder who transmits higher teachings either as an
outer teacher (Saturn) or as an inner teacher or spirit guide (Uranus).
Embodying the archetype of 'the wounded healer',
Chiron stresses the importance of going within to find an answer - and then
sharing it with others.
In education, music and medicine, Chiron unites
the body and mind, instinct and intellect. His ancient teachings are now
resurfacing through the advent of holistic health and education.
